That Night... The cramps began just after what I guessed to be midnight, waking me from a restless night's sleep. Pain surged through my body, my mind numb. I tried to rise from my mattress, but fell to the ground. Spasms wracked my body and I cried out in agony. I vomited up the contents of my stomach. I was plagued by fever, then chills, then fever again. How long I lay there I do not know. Hours, possibly. When the cramping finally ebbed and the agony lessened and unconsciousness finally began to claim me once again, I promised myself it would be the last time I ever sampled alien cuisine.That Night... by ~Celareon
